WHEN DO COURSES START?

You are welcome to start your courses any Monday all year round. Please be at our meeting point at 9 a.m. (Pino Suárez # 802).

If you are staying far away from our meeting point, please let us know, and we´ll find another meeting point for you.

If you are staying by the school, please be there at 9:30 a.m., not before, it´s when we come back with the students from our meeting point.

 

DO I HAVE TO START ON MONDAY?

No. You are welcome to start any day during the week. We´ll find the right class for you, and you´ll only pay for the days you take classes. You can study one, two, or as many days as you wish.

Please contact us the day before you wish to start or even the same day.

   

WHY DO CLASSES START AT 9:30 A.M.?


Most Hostels, Hotels, B&B, and families serve breakfast at 8:30 a.m., so you´ll have time to be at our meeting point before 9:15 a.m. Please remember that just on Monday, you´ll need to be at 9 a.m.
 

IS THERE A PLACEMENT TEST?


The school director will talk to you for some minutes, this way we can have a better idea of your Spanish Level. We´ll find the class at your level, and teachers will make sure that you were placed in the correct class. If the class is either difficult or easy for you, we´ll be very happy to place you in a different class.

LEVELS:

Beginners...... 1, 2, 3
Intermediate.. 1, 2, 3
Advanced....... 1, 2, 3

You´ll be placed in a group at your level(maximum 5 students). Most of the time, groups have 2 or 3 students.
 

WHAT DO STUDENTS DO IN CLASS?

9:30 a.m. to 10:50 a.m. class

The teacher will explain a grammar point for some minutes, then students will practice it in conversation. We focus on helping our students by correcting each one of them when they talk, and we make sure that they learn the topic by giving them written exercises as homework.

11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. class

The teacher will give each student a list of new verbs and vocabulary related to a theme. Students and the teacher will use these new words in a conversation, and the teacher will make sure that students apply the verb tenses learned during the first class.

12:40 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. class

The teacher and the students will practice conversation. If students wish to learn more grammar, teachers will be happy to help them.
   

WHAT DO STUDENTS LEARN?

We have our own program and materials. Through the years and based on teaching experience, we developed a method to help students to learn the Language in an easy and fun way. We have carefully selected the grammar points and vocabulary that students must learn, and we have also organized them for beginners, intermediate, and advanced students.

Teachers and students will go through grammar points to see which of them need to be reviewed or practiced a little more. Then teachers will explain the topics that students need to learn.

Course for travelers: beginner students will learn vocabulary and verbs used in real life situations. Teachers will teach students how to ask and answer questions needed to travel, and they´ll be also very happy to adjust the program to the students needs.

For intermediate and advanced students, teachers can work on the topics students want to improve.

Private lessons: $18 usd / $220 pesos per hour.

If you are coming by yourself: you´ll pay the group price shown above from
week three and on.

Ask about discounts: for groups of six or more persons.

Payment: we are sorry, but we can only take pesos, you can get them at the banks with an ATM card. Thank you!

Meet with a mexican person to practice half an hour Spanish and half an hour English. You can meet for as many hours per day as you prefer.

COOKING CLASS

Enjoy cooking traditional dishes from Oaxaca.

Class lasts 3-4 hours and we need a minimum of 3 students(ingredients are included).

On Wednesdays at 2 p.m. or any day you prefer to have the class.

CULTURAL TRIP

Come with us and enjoy visiting interesting cultural sites and villages outside the city where handcrafts are made.

You will practice Spanish !! The trip lasts 2-3 hours. We need a minimum of 3 students to offer the trip. We´ll go in our cars.
