CULTURAL ACTIVITIES |

We offer a weekly trip to help students to learn more about
our culture.
These trips will allow students to observe first-hand how local handcrafts are
made, to interact with the people who make them, to see how these people live
and also to buy these handcrafts.
Typical destinations include:
- Archaeological sites: Monte Alban, Mitla and Yagul.
- Black pottery: San Bartolo Coyotepec
- Green and terracota pottery: Atzompa
- Alebrijes (brightly painted wooden animals): Arrazola
and San Martin Tilcajete
- Wool weavings: Teotitlan del Valle y Santa Ana del
Valle
- The 2000 year old Tule tree and its 52.58 mts. diameter:
Santa Maria del Tule
- Mezcal distillery (regional drink made from the Maguey
plant)
- Ex-convents: Tlacochahuaya, Cuilapan de Guerrero
y Santo Domingo de Guzman
According
to student's needs and interest, studies of Oaxacan history, archeology, anthropology
and literature can be intregrated into their Spanish classes.
COOKING CLASSES |

Enjoy going to the market to buy the ingredients for your class, then learn how to make a mexican dish. The class lasts between 3-4 hours, then spend sometime eating what you have prepared. A minimum of 4 students is requiered to offer the class. The cost for the class includes the ingredients.

Enjoy learning how to dance salsa. The class lasts one hour. A minimum of 4 students is requiered to offer the class.
