WHAT STUDENTS LIKE ABOUT AMIGOS DEL SOL:

Small classes(maximum 3 students) = personal attention, and more opportunity to ask and talk in class.

Flexible schedule: start the day you wish, study the number of hours and days you prefer, and choose your class hours.

Relaxed but formal classes: learn Spanish with professional teachers, without feeling pressured by having fun in class.

Break time: spend time with the other students while drinking good coffee, tea or purified water.

Transportation service: students practice and hear Spanish on the way to school, and on the way back.

Activities: intercambios, tours and cooking classes.

Cost: inexpensive, you´ll be in a class with only one or two students.

School: nice building, great view from the top floor, and its location allows students to see other areas in the city.

SPANISH FOR EVERYONE: focuses on conversational Spanish while learning grammar. We are always willing to adjust our program to your specific needs and also to involve students with the culture.




SPANISH FOR TRAVELERS: for students who have never studied Spanish before, classes will focus on daily situations, such as the restaurant, the store, the bus station and more situations needed while traveling. Students who have taken Spanish before can focus their program on their specific needs or topics they would like to learn or review.




SPANISH FOR UNIVERSITY STUDENTS: we have groups of students from Universities, we teach the classes based on the program that each University needs in order to get credits. Pictures above show students from University of Wisconsin-Superior, Rutgers University and Portland State University. If you are interested about bringing a group to Oaxaca, please contact us, thank you.




SPANISH FOR FAMILIES: this program is great for both adults and children, some families like to take classes together, and some parents like their children taking classes with a private teacher, while they take classes with the other students.




SPANISH TOTAL IMMERSION: if you are willing to learn as much Spanish as possible, we recommend this program. Stay with a family, take 3 or 4 hours of Spanish each day, and also participate in the intercambio.




MEDICAL SPANISH: students will learn medical terms and will practice common situations in order to improve their abilities at work.




ONE-ON-ONE LESSONS: for students who wish to learn, practice or improve grammar and/or conversation. Teachers will cover the topics that each student needs or requests.




INTERCAMBIOS: meet with a mexican student to help him/her to practice English for half and hour, and then he/she will help you to practice Spanish for the other half an hour. This is a great way to improve your speaking abilities, and you can also spend more than an hour if you wish. Intercambios usually take place on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and there is no cost for this activity.




TOURS: since there are many interesting places to visit in Oaxaca, students who wish to take the tour can decide which place they would like to visit. We need a minimum of three students, the cost per person is $150 pesos, and it lasts about 3 hours. For students who wish to take a one day tour, we can recommend some tour guides or agencies.

* Classes usually have one or two students per teacher, maximum three.

*If you come with your friends or family(more than 3 persons), only if you wish to study in the same class, it´ll be fine.

* You are welcome to study less than 3 hours per day.

* Travelers course: you can take more than 3 hours per day.

* One- One lessons cost: $16 usd per hour.
